Amir Mahdi Moslehi (Born February 27, 1990) is an Iranian graphic designer and typeface designer. He has comprehensive experience in Persian/Arabic typography, typeface design, and logotype design, and use of experimental typography. He was trained in calligraphy by “Muhammed-Reza Zarif”, “Hossein Gholami”, “Morteza Qourchi” and “Abbas Akhavein” in Tehran. He graduated with a bachelor of Architecture from the Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Tehran in 2013, he is focusing just on the graphic design and typeface design. Amir Mahdi received the 2nd Prize of the Type Design Competition Granshan in 2017 in the Non-Latin category for designing Mirza. His typeface Mirza also in the 21st Annual TDC Typeface Design Competition in 2018 has been selected to receive the “Certificate of Typographic Excellence”. As his works illustrate, he has a tendency towards flat design aesthetic and tries to reach the clearest and simplest solutions for encountering problems. He has been a member of Iranian Graphic Designers Society (IGDS) since 2017.
